Name: Sam Millar

Places Surfed: All over the UK, throughout Europe, Morocco, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, the Caribbean, South Africa and the Canary Islands.

Sam has been surfing since a young age and has gained an in depth knowledge of surfing and how it has developed into the sport it is today. With a degree in Surf Science and Technology, he has backed up his experience with technical knowledge from oceanography to board shaping. Whilst at Uni, Sam competed in the 'A' team for the Plymouth Uni Surf Club, helping claim two 1st places in the British University Surfing Championships.

Name: Jabu Stuart

Age: 24

Places Surfed: Throughout Europe, Morocco, South Africa, Oz, New Zealand, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Phillipines and Samoa.

Jabu has been active all his life. He has played various sports since he was young and has gradually moved to the coaching side of things. At 18 he completed his 'Community Sports Leadership Award' and 'Higher Sports Leadership Award', progressing to coach primary school children for a while. Following this he spent three months in South Africa coaching in various schools around the country, before completing a degree in Sports Science and Coaching. Surf instructing captured his attention at 20, and he has been freelancing for the last 3 years, before moving permanently to Freeride Surf School.

Name: Gareth Bennet

Age: 27

Places Surfed: All over UK, Australia, California, Florida, France, Fuerteventura, Indonesia, Mexico, Morocco, New Zealand, Portugal, Spain, Ecuador, Dominican Republic, Peru & Philippines.

Originally from South Wales, Gaz relocated to Cornwall 3 years ago. A seasoned traveller and also owner and founder of Powertrip Surf, Gaz has become an invaluable member of the Freeride team. He has an in depth knowledge of the surfing industry and currently promotes Mada clothing and Powertrip Surf Wax. Whilst in the water Gaz sets a high standard of surfing and is also a decidedly committed coach, taking great pleasure in giving back what the sport has given to him.
